After the wanting
Tusenbruk begins after the wanting.
New objects arrive with specifications, prices and promises. None says much about where the object will go. That comes later: the corner worn smooth, the repair postponed, the irritation accepted because the rest still works.
These are portraits of people, seen through the things they use. A watch, camera, pen, notebook, bag or car appears here only when removing the person would remove the story.
Price is beside the point. Craft matters, but use is the proof. We want to know what grates, what broke, what was repaired and the detail no catalogue could know.
There are no scores, rankings, affiliate links or condition reports. The photographs show objects in use, or after use. The writing stops before admiration becomes worship.
Tusenbruk is a coined name: a thousand uses; something used a thousand times.
The pleasure of use.
